I am able

In Matt 14, Jesus asked the disciples to feed the crowd of people with 5 loaves and 2 fish; however, I learned this weekend at church that Jesus only asked the disciples to do what they know to do (serve food) and He would do the rest (the extraordinary).  It spoke to my heart regarding younglife and my ministry because I realized that all I have to do with younglife is to be with kids and have fun with them and trust the Lord to do the rest and change hearts.  I need to invite Jesus into situations and know He will do the impossible; all I have to to is show up and trust the Lord to do the rest.

*sidenote: Not that the Word needs my approval or certificate of belief, but I was convinced the gospel is true because the disciples wrote themselves into the story as fools to give Jesus the glory.  They were lacking in faith and made stupid choices, and they exposed their mistakes and ignorance in order to show all Jesus was doing.  They painted a picture in the gospel of themselves just showing up and Jesus doing all the amazing things.
