3

I am not sure who reads this blog anymore since I have gotten SO LAZY in posting lately.

But if you are one of my faithful readers out there, you'll get to know a little piece of information before the rest of the world does...

We are thrilled and can't wait to welcome Baby Eleazer into our home in late September!

The little peanut has already grown a ton, and we are thankful to get to parent such a sweet gift from the Lord.  My prayer is that this little girl or boy will love Jesus desperately and be a light for the world to see.   I also pray that Forrest and I will love Jesus and each other more, so that our child will see God most clearly from our home.

We know we have been given a gift, and I never want to forget the Lord's faithfulness to us and our family.

Camp

We took 98 middle schoolers to camp in July.  11 heard the message of the cross and decided that life with Jesus is FAR better than doing life without Him.  My job might not be the easiest thing at times, but what is better than getting the opportunity to show kids that Jesus is better and Jesus is more?

Here are a few shots of the week that really capture Wyldlife well:

Philippians 3:8
"Even more than that, I think of everything as worth nothing. It is so much better to know Christ Jesus my Lord. I have lost everything for Him. And I think of these things as worth nothing so that I can have Christ."

Mark 2:13-17

I don't know about you, but I've never really cared much for people that "have it all figured out."

As a matter of fact, I try to avoid those people at every opportunity.  Maybe because I have a hard time believing that life is THAT tidy.  My experience has been the opposite- that life is actually pretty messy and people are broken.

I've been on my 3 week assignment at Younglife's Frontier Ranch this past month, and I've seen through thousands of hurting kids how messy life really can be.  And I saw over and over again that it's the messy people that Jesus seems most drawn to.

There is something about a God who is most drawn to the messy and broken, the hurting and unsure, that I really like.  There is something about a God who would rather be at a party with the tattered than at a religious function with the "flawless" that gives a lift to my heart and soul.  And there is something about a God who is continually questioning and challenging the "perfect" while pursuing and caring tenderly for the imperfect that makes me smile more than just a little.

I guess it is because in all of the mess and brokenness, it gives me hope.  For myself. And for millions of teenagers across the world.

Mrs. Villio

My best friend got married.  Two days later, she started on the Nate Berkus show and WON his DIY competition.  She is not only an amazing designer, but she is a wonderful friend.

Check out the new Mrs. Hannah Flora Villio.  You'll fall in love with her.

Mrs. Eleazer!

I am married and couldn't be happier!  Living with a boy has been nothing but fun so far!  My husband is the most wonderful man, and I am just so thankful the Lord picked Him out for me.

Here are a few shots from my photographer ( Steven Devries Weddings: http://www.stephendevrieschronicles.com/forrest-and-turner-sneak-peek/ ).  He did an amazing job capturing our wedding.  Can't wait to see the rest!

Another best friend of mine (http://www.hannahkateflora.com/) got engaged this weekend, and I couldn't be more excited to get to walk through this season of life together.  Her fiance put this video together, and I just had to share it...
