Lamentations 2:19 is such a reminder of Simon:
"Rise during the night and cry out. Pour out your heartls like water to the Lord. Life up your hands to Him in prayer."
I was reminded of our second morning on the Nile when one of the girls said "Hey Simon, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw you sitting up in your bed. Were you ok?" His response was "Yes, I get up every night at three in the morning to be with the Father and pray." Holy cow. Talk about a man who is willing to act on only the Holy Spirit. Simon talked about "breaking the law" often by praying. Our body and flesh do not want to pray and do not want the things of God, but we, as believers, are called to "break the law" and to seek after God no matter if we feel like it or not. I have tried to "break the law" since returning home, and it has not been easy; however, I have seen the Lord more often since being home, and I have felt more refreshed because I am not living by the laws of the world, but I am living by the Lord's.
I am "breaking the law" of my flesh and praying!
