I went into the trip with a VERY small prayer life, and I think it was evident in my life from every angle. The Lord began convicting me on this early in the trip, but I was not able to grasp the fullness of it until I was in Pallisa and doing a prayer walk over Simon's land. He has a vision for a school to be built on His land to develop leaders among the youth in their community. Drew called us to walk over the land and pray for whatever the Lord placed on our heart. The twenty minutes I walked the land was one of the first times in the past year where I audibly heard the Lord speak. He told me to pray over the land that it would be "a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." I aligned my heart with His heart, and I saw His face.
Since I have been home, prayer has been one of the biggest comforts (besides a bed, running water, and electricity) I have had. The Lord has met me in my quiet times, and I have seen the hidden treasures from His heart. How I managed to live without prayer, I am not sure, but I do know that He is something I will not live without. I am committed to knowing nothing but Christ alone, so I know prayer will be a vital aspect of my life.
