The Lord has used my friends.
Laura sent this to me this morning:
"You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush, the pine tree will grow; instead of briers, a Myrtle will grow. And this will be for the Lords renown; an everlasting sign for all who believe."
Isaiah 55:12,13.
I love knowing that this is the fashion in which God leads his people. I love envisioning nature rejoicing as we are led forth by Him. And I CLING to the hope that He is producing something more beautiful, more grand, and more stable in me...where there was once an unpleasant thornbush.
Anne sent this to me this morning:
“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts as rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything."
1 John 3:18-20
Leigh sent this excerpt from Matt Dean's blog this morning:
"How much clearer does the redemptive purpose of God shine through in our lives, when things get uncomfortable, unpredictable, uncertain... and in faith, we choose to exalt the One who has redeemed us in the midst of inconvenience. My encouragement to anyone reading is this: Remember what is true. Recognize that even if your circumstances change. If trials come. When they come. That NOT EVERYTHING has changed. In all likelihood, what needs to change the most, is simply our perspective.
He is God. We are not.
He is Lord. We are not.
He is wise. We are not.
We make plans. He determines footsteps.
He opens doors. He closes doors.
He provides. He refines.
He calls. He redeems.
He brings freedom and joy.
He invites us into His unending story.
He blesses us through his purposes.
He fulfills His purposes through our lives.
He. Is. God.
Yes."
